I wish that we would each keep up on this blog as it is so nice to hear from each of you. I am also taking to myself. Hope that each of you enjoyed the 24th! Can you believe that it is almost Aug. Mike Rogers B-Day July 30th
Mom & Dad's 39th anniversary Aug. 2
Cassie's B-Day Aug. 4th
Treason's B-Day Aug. 18th
Deidre & R.J.'s Anniversary Aug. 12th
Cooper's 9th B-Day Aug. 24th

We need one great big get-together to celebrate!

Cooper and Aaron entered a Little Britches Rodeo in Elko this past weekend. Cooper won all around and won a saddle and some gift certificates. Way to Go Cooper!!!!!! Aaron won 3rd place. I'm so glad that he didn't ride the bull, though!!!!!!!

We are all so anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Mead Erin. Nikki I hope that you will
post pictures for everyone.

Dad did it again. His garden is producing as I picked an ice-cream bucket of beans this morning and 3 summer squash. Guess what we are having for dinner!

Each of you please take care. We love you so much. Times are tough and getting tougher but with faith and prayers and doing whats right we can get through them. Dad and I have had our prayers answered so many times.

The Mike Petree family recently spoke in Sacrament meeting before leaving our valley for further education in OK. Their talks touched my heart and I felt a witness that they were true and inspired. In essence they said, "In our families we need to prioritize our main goal/s. Then spend our time & energy in reaching that goal. With what time is left over then we can diversify to other activities. How important it is to do 1st what we need to do to reach that main goal rather than spend our time in other activities 1st and then what time and energy is left over we put it towards our main goal."

Ponder this statement and see where you are at. I think that Dad & I approached our goal with what time and energy we had left over and I regret this deeply.

I didn't mean to preach but wanted to share this insight with you.
Take care. We love you. Mom
